The weather gods have been a little kinder this month with the a few sunny days helping us to enjoy the picturesque surrounds of the Jindera Golf Club.
“Monthly Medal” winners to date include – July – Men’s Peter Penny, Ladies Lucy Kimpton.
AND, don’t forget, we are now running a “9 Hole” comp in conjunction with the normal 18 hole Sunday comp for those who only wish to play 9 holes – handicap is not required and scores will go towards getting a handicap. Tee times follow the usual Sunday comp.
Friday Chook Run is still running, although tee time is now 3.00/3.30 in order to beat the dark. You can also play earlier in the week if you wish, just find a partner, play your round and place card and $5.00 under the door.
We ran a “KENO” 2 Ball Ambrose event on Sunday 18th July. “Keno” is a GolfNSW initiative which is a state wide competition where the winning pair in the Men’s, Ladies and mixed sections advance to `a semi final held at Deniliquin on the 30th October. The winners on that day then play in the – Expenses paid – final at Bonville (near Coffs Harbour) on the 4/7th December. It was a great day, with 24 players braving the cold wet weather. The winning pair to advance to Deniliquin was Simon Cossor and Robin (Strop) Weldon.
The ladies KENO event will be held on Thursday 4th August, with the mixed on Sunday 7th August.
